Hiatus

We are less than a week out from our trip to the NW. I have not accomplished my fitness goals but I am not completely unhappy with my food and exercise journaling and do plan to continue that.

Thing is, the rest of this week is going to be pretty hectic, I finished up my final last night (a complete piece of crap) but I still have Christmas cards and gifts to deal with before we fly so I am going to take a break from trying to log everything until we get back from our trip.

Once I am back, I will start back in, with a fresh slate...and hopefully more motivation than I have shown thus far. I will be back in class but not until late January so I will have to some time to get things going on the right track.

So, I guess I will write more later, much later. Hasta luego.

Saturday Eats

Breakfast
  • 1 serving of HoneyNut Cheerios w/1% milk
  • 1 large coffee w/milk and sugar
  • 1 glass of water

Lunch

  • 1 turkey and cheddar sandwich on multigrain bread (mayo, mustard, red onion)
  • 1 serving of tortilla chips
  • 1 serving of salsa w/lite sourcream
  • 1 glass of water

Dinner

  • 2 slices of Tombstone frozen pizza (combo)
  • 2 servings of salad w/Newman's lite honey mustard dressing (lettuce, cucumber, spinach, cabbage, carrot, tomato, sunflower seed)
  • 2 glasses of water

Snack

  • 1 serving of hot cocoa w/lite Cool Whip on top

Food for Friday

Breakfast
  • 2 slices of whole grain toasted bread
  • 1 serving of lite Laughing Cow cheese
  • 2/3 serving of roasted turkey
  • 1 large coffee w/milk and sugar
  • 1 glass of water

Lunch

  • 1 fuji apple
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1 serving of roasted peanuts (no salt)
  • 1 quesadilla w/partskim mozzarella and onion
  • salsa
  • 2 glasses of water

Dinner

  • 1 chicken breast (cooked in herb marinate and water)
  • 2 servings of brussels spouts steamed with margarine and lite sourcream
  • 1 glass of OJ/cranberry w/vodka

Snack

  • 1 mini pack of Skittles
  • 2 Sweettart rolls
  • 1 glass of water

Breakfast

  • 2 pieces of whole grain bread toasted
  • 2 egg whites scrambled w/onions, garlic and part skim mozzarella
  • 1 egg scrambled w/onions, garlic and part skim mozzarella
  • 1 large coffee w/milk and sugar
  • 1 glass of water

Lunch

  • 1 packet of Top Ramen w/onions and mozzarella
  • 1 glass of sweet tea
  • 1 handful of grapes
  • 1 handful of cashews (salted)

Dinner

  • 1 bowl of salad w/blue cheese dressing (lettuce, cucumber, carrot, cabbage, tomato)
  • 1 small cheddar/onion quesadilla
  • 1 small glass of milk
  • 1 glass of water

Breakfast
  • Honeynut Cheerios w/1 % milk
  • Large coffee w/milk and sugar

Lunch

  • 1 can of tuna salad (tuna, onion, relish, mayo, mustard)
  • 1 serving of Triscuit crackers (low fat)
  • 1 glass of sweet tea
  • 1 serving of cheddar cheese

Dinner

  • 1 serving of Slimfast drink
  • 1 salad w/lite honeymustard dressing (lettuce, cucumber, carrot, cabbage, tomato)
  • handful of roasted nuts (no salt)

Exercise on Wednesday

I walked my ass off today. I shopped with a friend in the morning and then I went to find 3 different geocaches which required me to hike up hills through uneven ground...felt good.

Lunch

  • Leftover Thai fried rice w/chicken
  • 1 glass of sweet tea

Dinner

  • Handful of cashews (with salt)
  • Small plate of nachos (tortilla chips, part skim mozarella cheese, onion, salsa)
  • 1 avocado
  • 1 glass of OJ w/vodka

Fitness Update

I am getting desperate...the time is clicking by and I am not any closer to reaching my goal of fitterness by Christmas than I was 2 months ago when I started this.

I am just not motivated at all to exercise...I am considering a "Survivor" diet...ever notice how skinny those people get in about 9 days of being on that show???

I think that I am in a place where while I am not happy with my body, it is not grossing me out enough to do anything about it...of course this is also because I am avoiding mirrors when naked.

I will not give up though because even if I don't meet my Christmas goals, overall fitness is not something I am willing to toss....I want to be happy with my body, feel good about myself and be healthier. In other words I want to be a hotty again...haha. I don't think that is too much to ask, regardless of my age.

  • 1/2 serving of left over Thai Ginger Chicken
  • Several holiday nuts (no salt)
  • 1 handful of cashews
  • 1 handful of wasabi peas

Snack

  • 2 Tootsie rolls
  • 2 Skittles mini packs
  • 1 hot chocolate w/marshmellows

  • 1 serving of portobelli mushroom ravioli with sun dried tomato sauce
  • 2 servings of salad
  • 2 glasses of sweet tea
  • 1 liter bottle of water

Dinner

  • 1 burrito (meat, toritilla, black beans, lettuce, tomato, onion, salsa, lite sourcream)
  • 3 rice cakes w/apple butter
  • 10 red seedless grapes
  • 2 glasses of water
  • 2 tootsie rolls
