Mishka's Tuesday
Walked 3 miles searching for 3 benchmarks and then walked another mile or so later looking for one geocache....at least I got some sun and cardio in.

Mishka's Sunday
Played soccer, at least until I pulled my quad on my right leg. After that I couldn't kick far or sprint, although I could still run a bit. I will have to wrap it for Wednesday practice so that I don't end up continuing to hurt it twice a week.

I was very busy on Saturday, helped out my friend at her nursery and didn't stop moving until 1am....nothing cardio but definitely moving.

Chicken's Thursday
Walked at work during my first 15 minute break and my 30 minute lunch. Went to the gym and used the elliptical machine for 45 minutes. I changed the settings from "cross training" to "interval" and I believe I got a better workout. I'm not sure if I'm going tonight. I think I might go to the salon with my friend and have my furry mustache waxed. I want to check out the aerobics 101 class on Saturday at 12:00pm but that all depends on what William and I plan to do for the day. If I don't go to the class I will at least use the elliptical.

Mishka's Thursday
Walked 2 miles without lunges. Would have done more but construction was blocking part of my path. Went geocaching for about 1 hour...did some yardwork for about an hour. Worked up a sweat and got some sun on my shoulders.
Ate one serving of cereal w/1 % milk for breakfast.
Had two large cups of coffee around noon. Ate ham and cheese sandwich on whole grain bread for lunch.
Had Powerbar midday for snack. Drank lots of water.
Ate one serving of spinach tortellini with pesto, four slices of baguette with garlic and margarine, and two servings of steamed broccoli for dinner.
Ate one serving of roasted unsalted peanuts, a serving of grapes and one 40 calorie fudgecicle for snack.

Well I didn't make it to the gym last night. William had to work late and I don't like to go when there are tons of people. So I brought my gym bag to work and I'm going tonight.

Mishka's Wednesday
Had soccer practice from 5:30pm to about 7:50pm. Did a lot of running around which also required a bit of sprinting. Played much better than I did on Sunday and only had to stop once to blow my nose. Strained a different muscle in my quad on my right leg but I think the hot tub will help that. Plan to walk tomorrow so as not to aggravate it too much. No lunges though.
Chicken Tuesday
I went to the cardio xpress class last night and got my ass kicked. At least the moves were easy and I didn't feel like a total idiot. I'm not thrilled about working out in front of a mirror. I'm pretty big compared to the majority of the class and I'm not very coordinated so it looks weird when I do kicks and some of the other moves. I will press on though. I plan to drop William off and go straight to the gym this time. I'm hoping that I will get there early enough to get an elliptical machine without waiting.

Mishka's Tuesday
I took Monday off after playing soccer on Sunday...felt like I had a bit of a cold relapse. Anyhow on Tuesday, I did 4 miles walking (about 1 hour) and 3 sets of walking lunges (10 lunges per leg). I think I strained a muscle in my right leg on Sunday at soccer so it was really hurting during the lunges but nothing major.
I haven't been as good about eating (not eating bad things really, but it seems like I might be eating too much). Thing is that with soccer, if I don't eat enough, then I run out of gas half way through and am completely worthless...
Haven't been to the gym in a while...have been trying to do abs and at least pushups at home.

Chicken's Monday
So I gave myself a break and skipped the gym yesterday. I walked at work on all of my breaks though. My calf muscles are really sore from the step class. I'm thinking that they are really weak and that is why I'm getting shin splints.
I'm going to the gym after work. I'm might try out the Cardio Express class. I'm stoked because the gym posts their class schedule and descriptions on-line.

Brief Chicken Update
I've been eating like crap. I really need to get a hold on things.
I finally decided to join 24 hour fitness instead of Bally's. 24 is closer, larger and has better machines.
I worked out on Saturday for the first time in a while. It felt pretty good. I decided to got to a Step Aerobics class on Sunday. Oh my lord I had the worst shin splints of my life. Plus the lazy was doing all of these difficult steps that I didn't know. It was a good workout but I'm really out of shape and felt it. Unfortunately it doesn't look like there are any beginner classes so I might have to go back later once I have lost some weight. My size didn't really register until I got in a room with physically fit people.
I'm going to try Aerobics 101, Pilates (Glutes), Lifting (in the studio), and maybe the Yoga. My friend warned me that the Yoga class might not be good at the gym because a lot of times they will do advanced moves that beginners shouldn't do like torso bends. I guess I could check it out and see how it goes.
So my next major hurdle is trying to lift at least a couple times a week and watching what I eat.

Exercise on Sunday
Well, I have been sick since Wednesday but I did go to my game and was able to play about half of it before my congested lungs gave out so I guess that is better than nothing. I plan to get out and get a walk in this morning even though I am not one hundred percent, because it is so nice out and I am sure the sun and fresh air will do me good.

Hit balls with J again at the driving range. I have a soccer game today at 4pm so I will be getting a ton of exercise in...just need to do some more throughout the week.

Wednesday
Exercise
I walked 4 miles in the morning, with plans to ride my bike in the afternoon as well. I did lunges during my walk (2 sets of 10 per leg). Ended up having soccer practice in the afternoon so I ran my fat butt off for 2 hours or so and I am sure that every muscle in my body from the waist down will be killing me until I play my game on Sunday.
Food
Breakfast was a serving of raisin, walnut, oatmeal, a banana, and one cup of coffee.
Lunch was tuna fish with onions, pickle, mayo and mustard on Triscuits, with 2 glasses of Diet Coke w/lime
Dinner was a tiny bowl of rice with Thai green curry (I had soccer right after eating this so I didn't eat much).
When I got home from practice, I had an avocado, and a lowfat yogurt with a cranberry/vodka drink.
Probably could have done better in the food department but I felt like giving myself a break after all that running. I guess the better idea would have been to take advantage of the calorie burn and not spoil it but I don't think the avocado did too much damage....

Back To It
Well, I am back at it...trying to watch what I eat and get as much exercise as I can fit in. I haven't been logging my food because I am trying to not count calories right now...just eating balanced and in good portions so as to not go overboard.
I feel pretty good but the mirror is my enemy so I have to keep at it. I am really craving ice cream for some reason....hmmm.
