Mishka's Saturday

I was right on calories like I should be but I don't feel like putting them all in here....I counted them on my dry erase board on the fridge....anyhow, here is the food.

Breakfast

2 packets of flavored oatmeal
Hot water

Veggie burger on English muffin w/1/2 serving of cheddar
1 serving of tortilla chips
1 serving of ps mozzarella cheese

Dinner

Ramen w/veggies

Total calories are 1300 which is on target for the day but not doing anything for my goal for the week because I need to make up an extra 200 calories. I'll try to get a walk in at least tomorrow. We are -2300 for the week.

Chicken Goal Update

So I'm adding more exercise to the mix. I signed up for Yoga Spring term. The plan is I will do circuit weight M-W-F for 40 minutes and 90 minutes of Yoga on T-TR. I will continue to run every other day as well and get some skiiing/snow shoeing in on the weekends when I can.

Mishka Update

Today, I weighed myself at the gym (yes I was at the gym!!!!). It was the first time I have weighed myself in months....and definitely the first time since I started trying to lose weight but I know what I weighed this fall and if anything I gained more during the holidays before I started to diet.

Regardless, I weighed at least 165 this summer when I weighed myself last....today I weighed 160....so I have lost 5 pounds at least since the summer but I am starting to think it must be more than that since I know I was biggest right around the holidays....I just never weighed myself.

So even at the small end, I have lost at least 5 pounds...whooeee!!! I am feeling more motivated today...going to the gym and spending time at the beach for a second day in a row has really helped, and then getting on the scale really helped. So at least cutting back on my calories has worked and if I can get the exercise in there regularly...I'll be on my way to a fitter and better looking me.

We decided to take the rest of last week off and eat all the things we've been craving and get it out of our systems. I gained back a couple pounds, which sucks, but I think it was good for my psyche. I had lost one pound this morning since my "official" weigh in yesterday morning, so that made me feel a little more inspired.

I'm not really tracking so far this week, but I have toned down the food fest quite a bit. I'm still getting over my cold, so I'm eating what sounds good but trying to keep it reasonable.

I'll be back to tracking and diligent eating by Monday.

This week has been bad for me for logging food. I have been eating okay but not a lot of things that I can count calories on. I have been eating Thai soup for three days since I had so much of it and I know that it is not bad for me.

Tomorrow is a new day, a new week, and a new start. I have no excuses to not get some exercise in and I just need to get started. Chicken has motivated me in her will and determination to run and be healthier. I will try to follow in her footsteps.

I don't know how many points I ate today. I lost track at lunch because I ate what sounded good (which wasn't much because of my cold) and I didn't bother the rest of the day. Nothing much sounded good for dinner, so I probably ate too many points there too.

I know, I suck. I just don't have the energy to be diligent today.

We are not counting dinner tomorrow night for Valentine's and decided we would get take out Thai and spend the evening at home. Maybe we should get it spicy and clear out my sinuses. HA!

Monday for Mishka

We had the superbowl this morning so I went to a party at a local bar and it included breakfast and lunch. I didn't try to count calories today, but I can list what I have eaten. I have my calorie week start on Tuesday this week and see how it goes.

Breakfast (I rarely get to eat all this stuff for breakfast so I went a bit overboard but kept each item small so I got at least a taste of each thing)

1 small sausage link

1 serving of sausage gravy

Chicken's Update

Well I finished the Couch-2-5K program last night. It was a bit difficult because I was pushing myself a little bit but afterwards I felt great. William and I both had a stressful day and the running (for me) walking fast (for him) really helped.

I feel like I have lost more weight but I am not weighing myself until Tuesday. I'm going to try to go to circuit weight today since I have been missing it for a while because of work. We are heading to the mountain shop to pick up snow shoes for Saturday.

Total calories are 2600 and I am only supposed to be eating 1300 if I want to lose a pound a week so I guess I blew this up completely....instead of being -2500 where I am supposed to be at the end of day 5, I am now at -1200 for the week....wow, what a lame ass thing. I guess I'll have to double it up at the gym in the next two days to get anything back but I don't see meeting my goal this week at all. Time to step it up, that is for sure and no more fast food...how disgusting is that? I don't remember the last time I ate at McD's or Chili's (actually K took me to Chili's for my Bday in November...that was the last time I ate there. Wow!!!!)
